Hi Vladimir We are now in Melbourne, Australia for a year, and the thing my 5-year old daughter Thea misses MOST about Canada is your small chocolate croissants (that she calls "little choccies").

I would come into your store 2-3 times a week first thing in the morning to get her "little choccies." Sometimes you were already sold out, but when I was successful on my mission I was Mr. Popularity back at home.

"Roncesvalles Bakery makes the best pierogies I’ve ever tasted. My favorite are the cheddar cheese and potato, they just seem to have the perfect combination of real cheddar and potato and seasonings, and they’re always fresh.
I’ve never been able to cook the “old world” European treats the way my mom or grandmother did. For me, Roncesvalles Bakery’s kitchen comes closest to duplicating those traditional potato pancakes, blintzes and borscht that I remember from my youth.
Shopping at Roncesvalles Bakery has widened my international “food vocabulary” and taste experience. Being Canadian born, I’ve been introduced to some food items that I’ve never eaten before, like Polish cheese such as Radomer, and Debreczyna sausage, and cookies like krust, which were all delicious.

Being a single person who doesn’t always like to cook for myself, I know I can come to the bakery and find a large variety of home cooked delicious meal selection to take home for dinner, with prices, quality and variety you can never get in a restaurant or other delis in the area.

I’ve never been disappointed with my shopping experience at Roncesvalles bakery. The staff is very friendly and provides great service. The store itself has been in the area for decades and has a feeling of tradition and abundance. It’s fun to go to, and has a distinct charm with shelves packed from floor to ceiling with foodstuffs, and its counters and coolers offering great looking, just cooked entrees, as well as lots of deli products. You can tell the owners really care about the business and their customers, supplying that hard to find professional touch in their store.
